Another ALS diagnosis.

This one hurts.

For Titans fans, Chris Johnson wasn't just another great player. He was electric. Every time he touched the football, you believed something special could happen. We watched him outrun entire defenses, make history with 2,000 rushing yards, and create memories that will live with this fan base forever.

But today, none of those highlight's matter.

That reality is bigger than football.

The news from Chris Johnson hits home for every Titans fan across the nation. ALS is unforgiving and to see it happen to someone that helped make you fall in the love the game or deepen that love, is devasting.

Chris is much more than a football player though. His commitment to the communities he served was a second to none. He hosted multiple free youth football camps in Tennessee and Florida. Focusing on mentorship that helped build character for children from all over. Chris stepped up to help the American Red Cross when the 2010 floods devasted Nashville. He made many community visits to schools, hospitals, and numerous other events to connect with fans. Chris was constantly giving away food and toys for the holiday season as well. There aren’t many videos or clips of when Chris was giving back because it wasn’t about the fame or the PR of having good will. It’s because it is truly at the core of who he is as man, father, and husband.

You’ll be hard pressed to find anyone with as big a heart as CJ2K. Even during his Good Morning America interview, his main thoughts, focus, and efforts is his dedication to his family. Chris is family man first and it's truly inspiring that even when facing the most immense challenge he will likely face in his lifetime. They are his priority.
